About us: Providing you best life science research materials

Our goal is to provide you with the most suitable and high quality biospecimens for your research.  By establishing partnerships with some of the largest suppliers in the industry as well as growing our own network of collection sites across the United States we can get nearly any sample type in any matrix.  We believe that by providing samples with outstanding quality for a reasonable price we can help keep the money in the research portion of the biotech industry.  After all, aren’t we all out to prevent, mitigate the suffering from, and cure diseases?

Our customers include clients from major pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and biotechnology companies, as well as academic and government research institutions.  There is no project too big or too small for Obio to take on.  We have just recently signed contracts with a series of clinic sites across the United States whose patients include those suffering from autoimmune disorders, hematology and oncology diseases, gynecological disorders and malignancies, and will happily add new clinics to meet your biospecimen needs if we cannot already.

Our samples are derived from donors of various ethnicities, disease types, ages, and demographic regions across the globe.  Below is a list of the types of samples we are currently offering:

  • FFPE tissue block and sections

  • Fresh Frozen Tissue

  • OCT embedded fresh frozen tissue blocks and sections

  • Tissue Micro Arrays

  • Serum

  • Plasma

  • Whole Blood (both fresh and frozen)

  • PBMC

All of our samples have been procured under conditions that meet the strictest standards in the industry including: informed consent, blood borne pathogen negative test results, and proper storage and handling.  All documents, redacted to ensure anonymity, are available upon request.  We also provide pathology reports when applicable and/or requested.  Clinical information will be provided for each sample prior to purchasing with the exception of prospective collections, which do not always afford this opportunity.  In the case of prospective collections we will take every measure available to give our clients time to evaluate the clinical information and decide if a prospective sample will be to their liking before collection but unfortunately we cannot guarantee this courtesy in all cases.
